Diolch yn fawr i bawb am eich cefnogaeth.
You will be aware that as a school, we are hoping to raise funds to allow Ysgol y Llys to benefit from having a trained therapy dog on site to assist and support pupils in their well-being.
We are grateful to Miss Anna Jones, (Year Class teacher) for leading on this project. She has successfully applied for a grant to part fund the insurance and license cost of having the dog on site which also covers part of the training costs. Miss Jones, on behalf of Ysgol y Llys, also set up a GoFund.me page to raise funds for the remainder of the costs.
At present, the fund has reached a fantastic total of £775 out of a target of £1000. This will allow us to proceed and arrange training for the therapy dog. The response from parents, well wishers and the wider community has been brilliant and we were actually contacted by Gofund company, wanting to share our story as the thought it was a brilliant idea.
We will close the Gofund page at the end of the school term (July 20th).
Details of the project can be found on the Gofund page at https://gofund.me/30e73dc1
We just wanted to express our sincere thanks to the wonderful Ysgol y Llys community for your ongoing support.
The initial idea of a Therapy Dog came from Mrs Rhianwen Mason and the Year 6 pupils. We are grateful for their ideas and are proud that a legacy will be in place, which hopefully will benefit the emotional and social well-being of the pupils.
Diolch yn fawr,
Staff y Llys
