I gyd-fynd a chyflwyno’r Cwricwlwm Newydd i Gymru, roedd y staff a’r disgyblion yn awyddus i adolygu logo’r ysgol i gyfynd a chyfnod cyffrous newydd yr ysgol. Rydym wedi bod yn cydweithio a chwmni Design for Education dros rhai misoedd yn diweddaru’r logo. Roedd y plant a’r staff yn awyddus i gadw elfennau traddodiadol y logo ond gyda gogwydd cyfoes.
Noder! Ni fydd newidiadau i wisg yr ysgol eleni, ond yn hytrach caiff y logo ei ddefnyddio’n fewnol- ar ohebiaeth ysgol, arwyddion, cylchlythyrrau a rhwydweithiau gymdeithasol yr ysgol- gan gynnwys Trydar a Facebook. Fel ysgol, rydym yn ymwybodol iawn o’r pwysau ariannol sydd ar deuluoedd, ac felly nid ydym ar frys i gyflwyno newidiadau i’r wisg. Byddwn yn cyfathrebu’n gyson gan gyflwyno amserlen i newidiadau arfaethedig. Byddwn yn cydeithio efo cwmniau / manwerthu dillad ysgol gan edrych i gyflwyno newidiadau yn raddol o fis Medi 2024 ymlaen. Mawr obeithiwn y byddwch yn hoffi’r logo newydd- un sy’n cadw at werthoedd a ddaliadau’r ysgol ond yn amlygu tref Prestatyn gyda darlun o’r arfordir. Mae symbol y cennin pedr hefyd yn cyfeirio’n amlwg at Gymreictod a Chymru. Fel staff a disgyblion, rydym yn hapus iawn gyda’r logo ar ei newydd wedd.
In implementing changes to the curriculum here at school in line with the New Curriculum for Wales, staff and pupils were also keen to review the current school logo at Ysgol y Llys. Staff and pupils wanted a new, dynamic logo which would retain the core values and beliefs of the school, but would also be contemporary and forward looking. Over the last months, as a school we have been working closely with www. designforeducation.co.uk to review and update the logo.
Please note! Currently the updated logo will only be used internally on school correspondence, newsletters, social media profiles etc. We are well aware of the cost of living crisis facing families and do not wish to put additional pressure on families to purchase brand new school uniforms. We will communicate any potential changes which might affect parents in a clearly set out timescale. However, we do not envisage changes to the school uniform until at least the beginning of the 2024-25 school year, and it will be set out gradually, starting with the youngest pupils on entry. We will also canvass parental views during next half term through google form questionnaires. The staff and pupils love the revised logo and we hope parents will also feel the same. Exciting times ahead!
