Admissions
Pupil Admission Arrangements
Pupils are admitted to the Under 5 unit in their nursery year for five mornings a week provided that they attain their fourth birthday during that school year, i.e. between 1st September and 31st August.

Similarly, children are admitted full time into the reception year if they attain the age of five before the end of that school year. Parents who are considering sending their children to the school may arrange a visit to gather more information by consulting the Headteacher beforehand.
During the summer term the parents of new pupils are invited to school one evening to meet the Headteacher and Staff to have the Foundation Phase way of teaching clarified and to discuss any problems informally.
Also, during the summer term, the parents of new pupils are invited to bring their children to the school and spend some time in the nursery/reception class. This experience does, undoubtedly, assist the children to settle down in their new environment at the beginning of their school career.
Cylch Meithrin y Llys
Many of the children who wish to attend Ysgol y Llys also attend the Cylch Meithrin held every morning and the Cylch Ti a Fi on Wednesday afternoons which are run under the auspices of the Welsh Playgroup Association. Both groups meet in the school building and the children who attend have the great advantage of being used to the school and also from being in a Welsh atmosphere. Further information can be obtained from school.
