School Clubs

Emphasis is placed at Ysgol y Llys on offering extracurricular clubs for children outside of school hours. This is part of the school’s ethos of offering children an opportunity in various fields, and in order to develop the children completely.

See the table below for the school’s extracurricular clubs for the next half term. There is no cost for pupils to attend. We kindly ask that you are punctual for picking up your child. Clubs start week commencing the 13th of January, unless otherwise noted.

Throughout the academic year there are various Clubs available to pupils.
School staff are mainly responsible for holding the sessions but we are also very fortunate to have active parents who are willing to give their time for the welfare of the pupils.

We are also fortunate on the Ysgol y Llys site to have dedicated fields to host the various activities. When the weather doesn’t allow, we have a multi-purpose sports gym.

Ysgol y Llys after school clubs can include the following:

  • Football Club
  • Rugby Club
  • Netball Club
  • Cricket Club
  • Keep Going Club
  • Games Club
  • Gardening Club
  • Cooking Club
  • Calligraphy Club

18 Ocotber 2024 – Congratulations to the Year 3 and 4 football team that took part in the Urdd Sir Ddinbych football tournament yesterday. Very proud of you. Also, congratulations to the girls team that took part. You were brilliant!

The clubs run per half term and a letter goes out to parents at the beginning of each half term stating for whom and on which days the activities are.
We value parents’ contributions, and are happy to receive any comments on what is being proposed.

Beyond the school’s activities, the hall is also hired externally.
The Adrian Wright Karate Club meets every Tuesday and Friday night, while Harlech College offers Welsh Lessons for adults in the school library every Wednesday afternoon. Contact the school for more information.
